Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids is more than a camp — It’s a movement, a mindset, and a launchpad for future leaders in beauty and business.

Summer Camp 2026 is open to middle school–age students only.​​

This focused age group allows us to provide more intentional instruction, stronger mentorship, and deeper skill development during our pre-professional training experience.

Application Requirements

To ensure students are truly interested and ready for this pre-professional experience, all applicants must complete the following:

​Student Statement

Students must submit a short written statement consisting of five (5) complete sentences explaining:

​

  • Why they want to join Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids

  • What interests them about cosmetology, barbering, beauty, or entrepreneurship

  • What they hope to learn during camp

​

This helps us understand each student’s passion and commitment.

Important Note to Parents

This is a pre-professional cosmetology and barbering program, and the application process helps us identify students who demonstrate:

  • Genuine interest

  • Creativity and initiative

  • Leadership potential

  • A desire to grow their skills

​

All skill levels are welcome — passion matters more than perfection.

Work Sample Submission

Students must also submit photos or short videos showcasing any previous work related to:

​

  • Hair styling or braiding

  • Makeup application

  • Barbering

  • Nails

  • Skincare

  • Entrepreneurship-related work (such as product creation, branding, services, or sales ideas)

​

Work may be completed on:

  • A real person

  • A mannequin head

  • A doll

​

Professional experience is not required — we simply want to see creativity, interest, and effort.

CC The Great is a School Board Trustee, award-winning celebrity master hairstylist, mentor, coach, licensed faith-based counselor, and the founder of the world’s first pre-professional youth cosmetology program, Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids.

​

She made history as the first Professor of Cosmetology at Tarrant County College, where she also authored Hair University, a textbook created to support cosmetology education and workforce development.

​

Our History & Impact

Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids launched on June 13, 2022, on the southeast side of Fort Worth, Texas, where 35 girls successfully completed our very first summer camp. In October 2022, NLCFK partnered with LVT Rise Community Center on the west side of Fort Worth, awarding 20 full scholarships to students in our inaugural fall cosmetology camp.

​

On June 13, 2023, we expanded through a partnership with White Settlement ISD and Brewer High School, serving 60 students during our summer camp program. Since then, we have proudly worked with organizations including Letot Juvenile Detention Center for Females and Girls Inc., providing access, exposure, and empowerment through beauty education.

​

Today, Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids has made history as the world’s first after-school pre-professional cosmetology and barbering program for youth. We currently serve students through Fort Worth Independent School District and the Fort Worth Public Libraries, with expansion underway internationally in Kuwait. Our work has been recognized and awarded by the City of Fort Worth and Councilman Chris Nettles for our commitment to community impact, workforce development, and empowering the children of Fort Worth, Texas.

Program Tuition $655.00 for Cosmetology or Barber Camp. $50 deposit is due at the time of registration to reserve your child's spot. No refunds whatsoever, no exceptions. All balances must be paid by May 1, 2026 to start camp.

LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE & AGREEMENT

By submitting this application, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk


Participation includes hands-on learning with mannequins and professional tools including, but not limited to:

• Combs and brushes

• Hair dryers

• Flat irons

• Curling tools

• Clippers and trimmers


I understand these activities carry inherent risk and voluntarily assume full responsibility.


2. Release of Liability


I release and hold harmless:

• Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids

• Next Level Barbering Camp for Kids

• CC The Great

• All instructors, volunteers, staff, partners, and host facilities


from any injury, illness, accident, allergic reaction, emotional distress, or loss that may occur during camp participation.


3. Medical Authorization


In the event of an emergency, I authorize staff to obtain medical care for my child if I cannot be reached. I accept financial responsibility for any medical treatment.


4. Student Conduct Policy


Students and families must maintain a positive and respectful environment.


The following are not permitted:

• Bullying

• Harassment

• Hate speech

• Slander or defamation

• Disrespect toward staff, students, or the Next Level brand


Violations may result in immediate dismissal without refund.


5. Intellectual Property Protection


All camp materials, curriculum, business concepts, training models, and instructional content are proprietary and owned by Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids.


Parents, guardians, or affiliates may not copy, reproduce, distribute, teach, or create competing programs using camp content.


Legal action may be pursued if violated.


6. Refund Policy


All payments are non-refundable, except if camp is cancelled by Next Level Cosmetology Camp for Kids.
